The Breast Cancer Working Group is a collaborative educational initiative held bi-monthly, fostering the sharing of expertise and case discussions among Armenian and Canadian healthcare professionals.
This group brings together medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgical oncologists, as well as fellows and residents. The primary aim is to facilitate a comprehensive learning environment where participants can gain insights from renowned experts in the field.
Dr. Liana Safaryan: Co-Chair from Armenia, Head of the Department of Adult Oncology at Yeolyan Oncology and Hematology. With extensive training in Armenia, the USA, and Germany, Dr. Safaryan is a member of both ASCO and ESMO.
Dr. Sarkis Meterissian: Co-Chair from McGill University, with a rich background in medicine, surgical oncology, and education. His distinguished career includes international fellowships, numerous awards, and pivotal roles in surgical and oncological education.
Dr. Tarek Hijal, an expert in Radiation Oncology Unit at McGill University, and Dr. Nathaniel Bouganim, an expert in Medical Oncology at McGill University, are the invited experts from McGill Canada:
