Karen Bedirian ( PharmB, MPH) is the Projects Director of the Immune Oncology Research Institute. Karen holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Turpanjian School of Public Health of the American University of Armenia (later expanded to become the Turpanjian College of Health Sciences). She also holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Damascus University.
In addition to her work at the Immune Oncology Research Institute. Karen is currently a researcher at the Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center. She has previously worked as the Coordinator of the Neuro-oncology Multidisciplinary Team at the Hematology Center. She also worked as a pharmacist for several years before that.
Karen is dedicated to advancing the field of cancer research and treatment in Armenia and she has attended several training programs on these topics, including multiple courses held by the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC) and a training program on cancer research held by the Stanford Cancer Institute in the United States.
As the Projects Director of the Immune Oncology Research Institute, Karen is responsible for overseeing the projects of the institute and ensuring they are completed successfully. Karen is also actively involved in the research conducted by the institute. She is currently working on a project to evaluate the state of cancer control in Armenia and has published an article on that.
