Updates on the GI and Neuroendocrine Tumors working group

During the first year since its launch, the GI and Neuroendocrine Tumors Working Group of the Immune Oncology Research Institute has conducted 26 meetings during which 98 cases were reviewed.

The GI and Neuroendocrine Tumors Working Group meets every two weeks, led by Professor Philip Agop Philip, with Dr. Lilit Harutyunyan as co-chair and Mariam Sargsyan coordinating.

The group discusses complex cases from the three major cancer centers in Armenia:

   Mikaelyan Institute of Surgery

   Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center

   National Center of Oncology

These discussions are essential for improving treatment and patient outcomes. By bringing together experts from various fields, the group is able to develop comprehensive strategies for managing gastrointestinal and neuroendocrine tumors.

This collaborative effort not only enhances the understanding of these challenging cases but also helps ensure that patients receive the most effective care tailored to their needs.
