The Immune Oncology Research Institute is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Shushan Hovsepyan as its Innovation and Development Director. Dr. Hovsepyan, who is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Yerevan State Medical University, and the Editor-in-Chief of the OncoDaily Medical Journal, is a Pediatric Oncologist specialized in pediatric soft tissue sarcomas and cancer in adolescents and young adults.
Dr. Hovsepyan has completed her clinical fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of Milan in Italy and at the St. Anna Children’s Research Hospital in Austria. She also completed a research fellowship at the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer in Brussels, Belgium. She is a former co-chair of the SIOP Global Health Network Education and Training Working Group.
In her new role, Dr. Hovsepyan will work to strengthen IMMONC’s partnerships with regional and international organizations, ensuring the alignment of efforts against cancer. She will also mentor team members in designing innovative research projects to expand the institute’s impact.
