The European Hematology Association (EHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing research, education, and patient care in the field of hematology. It hosts an annual congress and provides a platform for collaboration among hematologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals across Europe and globally.
This year, the association's annual congress took place in Spain.
Dr. Astghik Voskanyan, discussed efforts in fostering international collaboration to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm (BPDCN).
She presented data from 62 patients that have been collected so far, with ongoing efforts to gather more. The number of participants enrolled in the BPDCN International Registry has doubled since the last report, which emphasizes the growing interest and need for a unified effort in understanding and managing this rare disease. This interview was conducted by the Video Journal of Hematology & Hematological Oncology (VJHemOnc) at the 29th EHA Congress in Madrid, Spain.
